Lima Climate Change Conference - December 2014

The list of all side events and exhibits at COP 20/CMP 10 including information materials can be accessed through our archive.

Please contact the side events and exhibit team at: for any further information.

Exhibits serve as a platform for observer organizations to highlight diverse climate change issues at UNFCCC conferences. The Government of Peru will generously provide exhibit booths for observer organizations as well as Parties to showcase their work at COP 20/CMP 10. They cover a wide variety of topics and are loosely clustered by thematic groups throughout the conference duration.

Access to premises
All official side events and exhibits will be held at Cuartel General del Ejercito del Peru, the official COP 20/CMP 10 venue, in Lima, Peru.
The exact location of the exhibit booths will be indicated on-site.

All persons wishing to access the exhibit area must be duly registered through a Party or an observer organization and in possession of a conference badge in order to be granted access to the conference venue.

Kindly also refer to the pdf-icon Information for Participants for further information.

The specifications of the exhibit booths will be made available at a later stage.

In order to maximize the use of the exhibit space available, the secretariat reserves the right to reassign exhibit booths that are not set-up by Monday, 1 December 2014 at 6:00 p.m. without prior notice, to other applicants on the waiting list. The same applies to second week exhibits that have not been set-up by Monday, 8 December 2014, 1:00 p.m.

One UN Exhibit Area at COP 20 / CMP 10
For the first time, a joint "One UN Exhibit Area" is taking place at COP 20 / CMP 10, allowing delegates to explore the UN system’s expertise and services in key thematic areas such as sustainable energy, industry, green investment, education, climate science, human mobility and policies for climate action. An overview of all the thematic exhibits of the One UN Exhibit Area can be found here.

Climate Change Publication Counter (CCPC)
Exhibitors who have been allocated an exhibit booth for one conference week only are welcome to display their remaining publications at the CCPC. If this is the case, organizers should provide a sample of their publication(s), including an electronic copy if possible, to the staff at the side events and exhibits coordination office. The exact location of the office will be made available at a later stage.

The official UNFCCC consignment label enabling organizers to ship exhibition materials to Lima will be available at a later stage, alongside additional information concerning customs and shipment, if applicable.

The shipment allowance introduced in 2012 will be maintained for the Lima session. Further details on the allowance and shipping policies and procedures in general will be made available soon.
The organizer is responsible for arranging the return shipment of remaining materials.

There will be no catering within the exhibit booths area.

Sustainability initiatives
As part of the on-going efforts to reduce the carbon footprint of the conference, the side event and exhibit schedules will be made available on the secretariat website in electronic form only.

In the same vein, the secretariat encourages organizers to use the upload facility in their personal SEORS account to upload information and electronic publications to the UNFCCC website. The track record of exhibit organizers in uploading presentations and relevant documents onto their own SEORS account is one of the Selection and Allocation Criteria that are taken into consideration for the selection of side events and exhibits in future sessions. Changes can be made by replacing or deleting the existing files up to four weeks after the sessions. Individual files should not exceed 4 MB, but it is possible to upload as many files as needed.
