Side events and exhibits
No side events and exhibits are planned at AWG-KP 9/AWG-LCA 7 sessions in Bangkok due to the space
constraints. The secretariat does not facilitate events outside the conference venue but we would be
able to assist in announcing the event in the Daily Programme with reduced capacity. Please contact
Megumi Endo, Observer Organization Liaison Officer at cool@unfccc.int as early as possible.
Office space rental
Please note that NO delegation office space on a commercial basis is available at the United Nations
Conference Center (UNCC) of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the
Pacific (UNESCAP) in Bangkok. Parties and Observer organizations are being advised to make their own
logistical arrangements outside the conference premises.

Information on Visas for Bangkok The UNFCCC secretariat wishes to
advise that general conditions on obtaining visas to enter the Kingdom of Thailand are
available at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
website
The list of Parties that are eligible to receive visas on arrival in Thailand is available
for download
here.
Participants who are nominated to attend the above-mentioned sessions and whose countries are
not included in the above-mentioned list and who do not have a diplomatic mission of the
Kingdom of Thailand in their territory should forward the following information to the
secretariat at e-mail: sessions@unfccc.int or by fax
to +49 228 815 1855 in order to receive a visa at the port of entry in
Thailand:
· First name(s) as it appears in passport
· Last name(s) as it appears in passport
· Date of birth
· Gender
· Nationality
· Passport number
· Expiry date
· Contact details including e-mail address
· Date of arrival in Thailand
(If you are attending any other meetings organized by the secretariat prior to or after
the Bangkok sessions, please provide details and dates).
On receipt of this information the Thai authorities will provide you with the relevant
confirmation regarding your visa for Thailand.
Visas for Barcelona and Copenhagen
Delegates will have the opportunity to acquire visas for Barcelona and Copenhagen at a
special visa booth set up in Bangkok.
