What is the dress code for the Doha conference?

The dress code is business formal. Participants may also wish to visit the following link on the host country's website for more information (Section D - Other Facts)

As Qatar is a country that does not work on Friday, will Friday be the official rest day in between the session and the Sunday is a work day?

What are the official dates for the High Level Segment?

How do I register my minister for the High Level Segment - HLS?

As the hotels are far from the conference center, will transport be provided for participant?

I will be attending the conference and would like to bring my spouse. Does she/he need to apply also through the COP 18 on-line visa system for COP 18?

There is no provision made by the secretariat for family members in the COP 18 on-line visa system for COP 18. Family members should follow the Qatari normal procedures to have their tourist visas.

When will the official notification for COP be sent?

The Notification to Parties was sent on 27 September 2012 and is also posted on the UNFCCC website at the following link.

Is there a limit on how many persons from each delegation?
For Parties and observer States to the Convention and it's Kyoto Protocol, the delegation is determined by the respective government/Party.
I am a student/writer/scientist etc. and would like to attend the sessions of the COP. Please send me a registration form or inform me how to register.

In accordance with Article 7, paragraph 6 of the Convention, Parties to the Convention, United Nations organizations and duly accredited observer organizations may attend the sessions of the Conventions. Consequently, conferences are not open to the public.

Kindly convey your interest to participate in the Doha sessions through your government or to an accredited organization, which will be in a position to include your name as part of its delegation. The list of National Focal Points for Climate change as well as accredited observer organizations can be found at the following link.

Are UN agencies also expected to apply for visas for Qatar on line?

UN agencies are not expected to register on-line. The names, titles and contact details (including address, telephone number, fax number and e-mail address) of the representatives of UN organization who will attend the sessions should be communicated directly to the secretariat at the following address:

Is there an accredited car rental company to be used for Head of Delegations and official delegates of Climate Change Conference?
