Press conferences
 

The press conference room is reserved for delegations and official UNFCCC briefings.  Other requests may be considered on a case-by case basis.



Media Centre

 

The Media Centre is located in a marquee on the lawn. It offers various services to

accredited press and media representatives, including an international broadcasting centre for TV and radio, a documents counter and work facilities for the print media with computer and telecommunication facilities.

The Media Information Counter is located in the Media Centre. Staff at the counter facilitate booking of the Press Conference Room and help arrange interviews with United Nations officials or delegates.

Services
 

Workspaces
The press area will offer 36 PC workspaces available on a first-come-first-served basis. For laptop users, there will be 36 Plug and play workspaces.

Photocopying
Photocopying will be available on a commercial basis.

Work cubicles
Work cubicles for TV and radio services as well as international news agencies are available at COP sessions only. A limited number of work cubicles are expected to be made available at the Conference site at the United Nations Office in Nairobi (UNON) for those TV and radio clients who intend to provide detailed coverage of the event. Request a work cubicle.

Kenyan accreditation for reporting outside conference venue

Journalists and other media coming to Kenya and wishing to report on issues not related to the conference or wishing to film outside the conference venue require accreditation by the Ministry of Information and Communications. Interested journalists or media will be required to complete an application, pay a fee of Kenya Shillings 4,000.00 (approx. USD $55.00) and should apply to:
