The COP 16/CMP 6 will be held at the Moon Palace Hotel/Cancun Messe premise, located on the
Cancun-Chetumal road. Shuttle services will ensure the commute within this premise as well as between
the premise and key hotel areas in and around Cancun City.
Meeting rooms, media area and services will be located in the Moon Palace Hotel, whereas Side Events
and Exhibits will be held at the Cancun Messe, together with cultural presentation areas.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURES FOR ALL OBSERVER AND MEDIA PARTICIPANTS TO COP16 / CMP6
Each participant must bring her/his passport and a printed paper copy of the UNFCCC
"Acknowledgement of Participation" form with barcode for observer organizations OR the
APPROVED UNFCCC Media Accreditation Status on-line form. Mexican and United Nations security officials
will ask to see these documents.

The government of Mexico reminds State Parties, Observer Organizations, and media representatives
participating at COP 16/CMP 6 in Cancún, Mexico, that rooms at the Moon Palace Golf and Spa
Resort, the main venue of the conference, are available to all participants, regardless of whether they
are delegates, observers, or media correspondents. Staying at the Moon Palace will enable participants
to be at the premises of the conference without the need to take shuttle transportation several times a
day.

Consignment labels for EXHIBIT, SIDE EVENT and DELEGATION are different for storage reasons, therefore
please mark the consignment accordingly.

event. In order to avoid overlaps of catering at Side Events, catering services will only be provided
after Side Events. It is the responsibility of the organizer to ensure that no food or beverages are
