Badges are essential in order for participants to gain access to the premises. They are issued only on the basis of accreditation as a media professional representing a bona fide media organization.

For security reasons, all participants are requested to wear their badges at all times.

    VisasTop

Please visit the host country website for visa requirements. The UNFCCC secretariat is not in a position to issue invitation letters for visa purposes. You may use the confirmation of your accreditation when making your application, as well as the letter of assignment from your media organization.

Press and Media representatives bringing into Mexico professional equipment exceeding items allowed as luggage free of import taxes for tourists must obtain a "Correspondent visa" at the nearest Mexican embassy or consulate. Media representatives will prepare a list of the said professional equipment, which a Mexican diplomatic office will need to certify/stamp. That list must include the following information for each item: description, serial number, brand, country of origin and approximate price in U.S. dollars

    AccommodationTop

Media representatives accredited to cover UNFCCC meetings are responsible for their own travel and hotel bookings. The secretariat is not in a position to make these arrangements. Accommodation is available at official conference hotels, or at any other hotel of choice.
