Bangkok Climate Change Conference - September 2009

The first part of the ninth session of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Further Commitments for Annex I Parties under the Kyoto Protocol (AWG-KP) and the first part of the seventh session of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Long-term Cooperative Action under the Convention (AWG-LCA) took place between Monday 28 September and Friday 9 October 2009 at the United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC) of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), Rajdamnern Nok Avenue, Bangkok, 10200 Thailand.

• Accreditation

  Bona fide representatives of the national and international media can apply for accreditation to the conference. Only one accreditation is required and will cover participation in the sessions of both ad hoc working groups.

  All participants are requested to register upon arrival at the desk located at the UNCC (UNESCAP).

  • A valid photo ID should be presented to the registration staff.

  • Early registration on Saturday, 26 September 2009, is highly recommended to avoid delays on the first day of the sessions.

  Press badges issued at previous UNFCCC conferences do not remain valid. Members of the press must be accredited for each meeting.

  Badges are essential in order for participants to gain access to the premises. They are issued only on the basis of accreditation as a media professional representing a bona fide media organizations.

  For security reasons, all participants are requested to wear their badges at all times.
