Recent development on negotiations The CDM is supervised by the CDM Executive Board, which itself operates under the authority of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (CMP). On an annual basis the CMP considers a report by the CDM Executive Board and provides guidance to the Executive Board, as appropriate.At its first session, the CMP (CMP1) adopted the ‘ Marrakech Accords’ as well as all draft decisions recommended by the COP since the “Prompt start of the CDM” in 2001 (please refer to decisions 2/CMP.1 to 6/CMP.1 listed below). CMP 2 provided guidance to the Board related to issues such as governance, methodologies, regional distribution and resources for CDM ( decision 1/CMP2 ).The list below provides the titles of the decisions referred above and the correspondent COP decision, if applicable.
