Angélica Valeria Ospina

Dr. Angélica Valeria Ospina specializes in climate change adaptation and resilience in developing countries, particularly in the role of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in development policy and practice. She is an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Manchester, United Kingdom, focusing on new technologies and the resilience of vulnerable communities to climate change and variability.

Angelica was the Research Coordinator of the “Climate Change, Innovation and ICTs” initiative at the University’s Centre for Development Informatics (CDI) from 2009 to 2012. Her experience includes more than ten years in the management and implementation of applied research projects in Latin America and the Caribbean, senior project management and research positions with Canada’s International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and the Organization of American States (OAS), as well as consultancies and advisory roles for a number of international organizations.
