Twitter chat with Christiana Figueres and on the 2013 Lighthouse Activities - 6 November 2013, 16:00 - 16:30 CET
On 6 November 2013, Executive Secretary Christiana Figueres hosted a live Twitter chat to coincide with the launch of the 2013 Momentum for Change Lighthouse Activities. The Lighthouse Activities are a group of 17 projects selected as shining examples of climate action around the world.

This year’s Lighthouse Activities focus on urban poverty, women’s leadership and innovative finance. They range from a powerful, women-led climate campaign in Australia to a ground-breaking effort to build climate-smart housing in Mexico. Projects include both small, entrepreneurial solutions, such as a project that builds bamboo bicycles in Ghana, as well as large initiatives, such as a massive financing scheme in the Philippines, to unlock resources needed to address climate change.

Christiana was joined by activity representatives who spoke about how their innovative and inspiring projects are creating real change on the ground.
