This section illustrates the impacts of placing the fields in the cross tab area.
Case I: Placing field in row
If the user wants to conduct a query on the different types of Kyoto Protocol units for certain Parties'
holding accounts, then the Type of value should be placed in the cross tab by clicking on the left arrow of
the Type of value, and this is how the layout will look.
Note that the orientation of the directional arrow changes once it is placed in the cross tab. The horizontal
arrow allows the user to move the position of the selected field laterally and the vertical arrow allows
moving the fields back into the page item.
For example, the user chooses to access data on AAUs, ERUs, and CERs in the party holding accounts of France
and Germany, then queries of interest should be selected under the show item
selection. “Party holding accounts” should be selected under the Category field
which will result in default selection of the other fields; data would be displayed as illustrated.
Case II: Placing field in column
Suppose the user wants to query various data under accounting parameters, then the category should be placed
in the cross tab area by clicking on the right arrow of the category, and this is how the layout will look.
For example, the user chooses to access assigned amounts and total allowable issuance of RMUs of Belgium and
Estonia then queries of interest should be selected in the show item selection. “No
classification” should be selected in the Classification field which will result in default selection
of the other fields. “No gas” should be selected in the Gas field and the data would be displayed
as illustrated.
