Title Uzbekistan. National GHG inventory report 2000: Republic of Uzbekistan.
Corporate Author Main Administration of Hydrometeorology
Electronic version available
Abstract The Report presents the inventory of greenhouse gas emissions in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2000 and also the review of the GHG emissions trends for the period 1990-2005. The emissions and removals in 2000 are given in the tables 1 and 2 for gases and sectors identified by IPCC (Annex 1 and 2) and also in the Sectoral Tables (Annex 3). The trend for each sector is provided in the relevant chapter. Inventory comprises the following direct greenhouse gases: carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) as well as the indirect greenhouse gases, such as carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxides (NOx), non-methane volatile organic compounds (NMVOC) and sulphur dioxide (SO2). To recalculate emissions into СО2 equivalent in accordance with the recommendations [1] the global warming potentials were used: for СО2 -1, СН4 -21, N2O -310. In accordance with the IPCC methodology and the standard IPCC software the greenhouse gas inventory was conducted in 5 sectors. The sector “Solvent and Other Product Use” was not considered due to lack of the calculation method.
