Internship Programme
The UNFCCC Library & Documentation Centre actively encourages and accepts students studying in
the fields of library and information science, information & computer technology, records
management and archival studies interested in nonpaying placements in a UN library
setting.
Internships are designed to meet the interests of students and include projects involving: library
management, archival collections, library policy and collection development, electronic collections and
space management issues. Interested applicants should contact the Library & Documentation Centre and be
prepared to submit an application form outlining their preferred area of interest and the kind of work that
they would like to undertake. Applicants should also demonstrate an interest in climate change related
issues and in the United Nations and UN-related issues in general.
Every attempt is made to match an applicant with a current project and applicants will be accepted any time
during the calendar year for a period of no less than 8 weeks and no greater than 6 months.
