At its twenty-ninth session, the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice invited Parties to submit, if appropriate, to the secretariat, by 15 February 2009, their views on issues relating to indigenous people and local communities for the development and application of methodologies (FCCC/SBSTA/2008/13, para. 45). The secretariat has received five such submissions. In accordance with the procedure for miscellaneous documents, these submissions are contained in this document and reproduced in the languages in which they were received and without formal editing
