Abstract

This report outlines the problems and constraints, lessons learned and best practices identified in the process of and the preparation of national communications by Parties not included in Annex I to the Convention (non-Annex I Parties). It has been prepared by compiling and synthesizing information from various sources provided by non-Annex I Parties on the problems and constraints, lessons learned and best practices relating to the process of and the preparation of national communications and biennial update reports. This report will inform the work of the Consultative Group of Experts on National Communications from Parties not included in Annex I to the Convention on the identification and provision of technical assistance for non-Annex I Parties, and will also serve as a source of lessons learned and best practices for non-Annex I Parties
