Scenario note on the third part of the sixteenth session. Note by the Chair.

The third part of the sixteenth session of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Further Commitments for Annex I Parties under the Kyoto Protocol (AWG-KP) will be held in Panama City, Panama, from 1 to 7 October 2011. Parties are reminded that the annotated agenda for the session is contained in document FCCC/KP/AWG/2011/1. The Chair also wishes to remind Parties of the issues raised in his scenario notes for the first and second parts of the sixteenth session, most of which remain relevant. The questions raised by the Chair and by Parties during the first part of the session, to stimulate discussion in the contact group on the unresolved policy issues, are available on the UNFCCC website and remain relevant for the resumed session. The purpose of this note is to share with delegations reflections on the second part of the sixteenth session and to inform them of the proposed organization of work for the third part
