Update on developments in research activities relevant to the needs of the Convention. Submissions from regional and international climate change research programmes and organizations.

The Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA), at its twenty-sixth session, invited relevant regional and international climate change research programmes and organizations to regularly inform the SBSTA of developments in research activities relevant to the needs of the Convention. At its thirtieth session, the SBSTA agreed that meetings under the research dialogue taking place in the context of decision 9/CP.11 should be continued during the thirty-second and subsequent sessions of the SBSTA. It invited the research programmes and organizations to continue to provide, as part of the research dialogue, information on developments in the research activities outlined in document FCCC/SBSTA/2007/4, paragraph 47 (a-f). The secretariat has received eight such submissions. In accordance with the procedure for miscellaneous documents, these submissions are contained in this document and reproduced in the language in which they were received and without formal editing
