Abstract

The Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA), at its twentieth session, requested the secretariat to organize a round-table discussion as a forum to facilitate sharing experiences and exchanging information and views among all Parties on policies and measures implemented by Parties included in Annex I to the Convention (Annex I Parties). The round-table discussion was held on 24 May 2005 in Bonn, Germany. This report provides a summary of this discussion, in particular the discussion relating to domestic and international aspects of the implementation of policies and measures by Annex I Parties, and on the ways in which Annex I Parties are striving to implement policies and measures in such a way as to minimize the impact from these policies and measures on developing countries
