This document has been prepared to support the consideration of carbon dioxide capture and geological storage as project activities under the clean development mechanism. In highlighting the technological, methodological, legal, policy, financial and other issues additional to those referred to in the previous synthesis of views on this subject (FCCC/SBSTA/2008/INF.1), the note synthesizes the views of Parties contained in document FCCC/SBSTA/2008/MISC.10 and of nongovernmental organizations posted on the UNFCCC website
