Abstract

The Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI), at its thirty-fifth session, invited Parties, relevant organizations and other stakeholders to submit to the secretariat, by 17 September 2012, taking into account the outcomes of the implementation of the work programme on loss and damage prior to that date, views and information on the possible elements to be included in the recommendations on loss and damage in accordance with decision 1/CP.16. The SBI requested the secretariat to compile these submissions into a miscellaneous document to be made available by its thirty-seventh session. The secretariat has received three such submissions. In accordance with the procedure for miscellaneous documents, the two submissions from Parties and the submission from a United Nations organization4 are attached and reproduced in the languages in which they were received and without formal editing. In line with established practice, the two submissions from non-governmental organizations have been posted on the UNFCCC website
