The Ad Hoc Working Group on Further Commitments for Annex I Parties under the Kyoto Protocol, at its seventh session, requested its Chair to prepare a text on other issues outlined in the report on its resumed sixth session. This document presents such a text in the form of decision language, covering the following issues: emissions trading and the project-based mechanisms; land use, land-use change and forestry; greenhouse gases, sectors and source categories; common metrics
to calculate the carbon dioxide equivalence of anthropogenic emissions by sources and removals by sinks; and methodological and other issues. Proposals for amendments to the Kyoto Protocol relating to some of these issues have been submitted by a number of Parties. These proposals are compiled, as submitted by Parties, in a separate annex
