The Ad Hoc Working Group on Further Commitments for Annex I Parties under the Kyoto Protocol (AWG-KP), at its seventh session, continued its deliberations on how to address, where applicable, the definitions, modalities, rules and guidelines for the treatment of land use, land-use change and forestry (FCCC/KP/AWG/2009/5, chapter V B). It invited Parties to submit to the secretariat, by 24 April 2009, views on annex V to the report on its seventh session (FCCC/KP/AWG/2009/5) for compilation into a miscellaneous document for consideration at its eighth session. The secretariat has received 17 such submissions from 25 Parties.
