Abstract

Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA), at its twenty-sixth session, invited relevant organizations to submit to the secretariat, by 15 May 2007, information on existing and emerging assessment methodologies and tools; and views on lessons learned from their application; opportunities, gaps, needs, constraints and barriers; possible ways to develop and better disseminate methods and tools; and training opportunities. It requested the secretariat to compile these
submissions into a miscellaneous document to be made available to the SBSTA by its twenty-seventh session. (FCCC/SBSTA/2006/11, para. 33). The secretariat has received seven such submissions. In accordance with the procedure for miscellaneous documents, the five submissions received from intergovernmental organizations are attached and reproduced in the language in which they were received and without formal editing. In line with established practice, the two submissions from accredited non-governmental organizations have been posted on the UNFCCC website at
