Course C: Technical review of the information necessary to track progress made in implementing and achieving NDCs

Course C provides guidance on how to review information necessary to track a Party’s progress in implementing and achieving NDCs under Article 4 of the Paris Agreement. It is organized in four sub-courses:

Sub-courses 1 and 2 are mandatory for all experts who want to participate in this thematic area of the TER.

New experts are expected to complete at least sub-course 3 or 4 additionally.

Experienced experts who have passed the related NC/BR training courses and have participated in the technical reviews of target and mitigation policies and measures and their effect under the measurement, reporting and verification arrangements under the Convention do not have to take Course C3.

Experienced experts who have passed the related NC/BR training courses and have participated in the technical reviews of GHG emission projections under the measurement, reporting and verification arrangements under the Convention do not have to take Course C4.

Registration for the 3rd examination period is open until 9 June 2024

If you have finished the relevant sub-courses from “Course C: Technical review of the information necessary to track progress made in implementing and achieving NDCs” and your nomination to the UNFCCC Roster of Experts if approved by the National Focal Point, you are ready to register for the examination period which will take place between 24 Jun to 7 Jul 2024. Please register before 9 June 2024 for the exam you would like to take using this link. No registrations will be accepted after the deadline has passed. We encourage you not to take more than 3 exams per examination period, there will be many examination opportunities during 2024.
