The Conference of the Parties,

Recognizing that the adoption of the Kyoto Protocol to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change is an important step,

Urges all Parties to the Convention that have not already done so to sign the

Kyoto Protocol and to deposit instruments of ratification, acceptance or approval, or instruments of accession where appropriate, as soon as possible, to ensure its earliest

entry into force.
