1. The attached list of participants attending the third session of the

Conference of the Parties held from 1 to 10 December 1997 has been prepared on the basis of information received by the secretariat as at 9 December 1997.

2. Non-governmental organizations which are listed with two asterisks (**) have been admitted only to the third session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 3). They are invited to re-apply after COP 3, should they wish to continue to participate in the Convention process.
