Bienvenidos a la Pagina Chat de la Tercera Conferencia de las Partes (COP3), que se realiza actualmente en Kyoto.

Aqui Ud. puede hablar directamente con expertos de cambio climatico, delegados a la Conferencia, miembros de las organizaciones no-gubernamentales y del secretariado directamente via INTERNET, simplemente escriba su pregunta u opinion y enviela; la pregunta sera remitida a un panel de especialistas y sera contestada. El mensaje de replica sera puesto en la pagina chat o remitida por correo electronico a Ud., y a otros participantes en el dialogo en pocos minutos.

La sesion chat se efectuara manana, miercoles 10 de diciembre a las 23:00, hora local, en Kyoto (09:00 hora de New York) y se extendera por 2 horas, en idioma espanol.

Por favor, envie sus preguntas y seran contestadas durante las dos horas que se extendera la sesion de intercambio.

Welcome to the COP3 Chat Page. Here you can talk directly to experts on climate change, delegates at the Conference here in Kyoto, members of non-governmental organisations and the UNFCCC secretariat via the Internet, at scheduled times. Simply type your question and submit it; the question will be moderated, and passed to the speaker. The reply will then be displayed on the Chat page within a few minutes.

To participate in the chat, click on the chat icon in the table or
on the "Room 1" or "Room 2" link at the bottom of the page.
Questions can be addressed to the speaker by typing them in the white box in the chat room.
Please indicate your name and any other relevant information inside that box.
When you are "inside" the chat room, the speakers and the Internet users participating in the Chat Session are shown on the right hand side of the page. The question box is located towards the bottom of the page. The questions and their corresponding answers are displayed in the centre.

2 hours Los tres panelistas participantes en la sesion, que responderan las preguntas desde Kyoto, sede de la Tercera Conferencia de las Partes, son:

Dr. J. Eduardo Sanhueza (Ph.D), coordinador de la Red de Accion del Clima de Latinoamerica, especialista de gran experiencia en temas economicos y politicos referidos al cambio climatico y que representa una extensa red de ONG latinoamericanas participantes en el tema.

Dr. Carlos Gay Leon (Ph.D), responsable de Coordinacion de Convenios Ambientales Internacionales del Instituto Nacional de Ecologia, de Mexico, cientifico de gran experiencia en aspectos cientificos y de amplio espectro, relativos al cambio climatico.

Dr. Luis Paz Castro, Director del Centro Nacional del Clima del Instituto de Meteorologia de Cuba, especialista de gran experiencia en problemas climatologicos y otros aspectos cientificos relativos al cambio climatico.

M. Kante est Directeur de l'Environnement au Senegal. Il a une formation double de juriste et de specialiste de l'environnement. Cette annee, M. Kante a ete choisi comme President de l'Organe Subsidiaire de Mise en Oeuvre de la Convention sur les Changements Climatiques.

Prof. Molitor has edited a collection of primary materials on International Law and is working on a monograph on Climate Change policy. He is currently Assistant Professor at the Earth and Environmental Science Department at Columbia University, New York.

The guest speaker, Dr. A. Atiq Rahman, is Director, of the Bangladesh Centre for Advanced Studies (BCAS), a leading think tank in Bangladesh. Among other activities, he also chairs the Steering Committee of Asia-Pacific National Councils for Sustainable Development. Dr. Rahman has participated in a Special Event entitled "A New North-South Dialogue on Climate Change" held in Kyoto on Dec. 3. This event is made available by the secretartiat for on-demand viewing.
