Least Developed Countries Expert Group (LEG) support to the national adaptation plan (NAP) process for the LDCs

At pdf-icon COP 17, the COP requested the LEG to provide technical guidance and support to the NAP process.

It also requested the LEG, in carrying out its mandate to support the identification and implementation of medium- and long-term adaptation in LDCs, to prioritize support for the formulation and implementation of NAPs.

NAP technical guidelines

The COP requested the LEG to prepare technical guidelines for the NAP process, based on the initial guidelines, included in the annex to pdf-icon decision 5/CP.17.

These guidelines have been produced, and can be found here.

They are being supported by a web-based portal. The goal of the portal is to support different sectors and other management units in carrying out their assessments and planning.
