Capacity-building: Portal
Despite a wide range of capacity-building programmes and projects taking place in developing countries around the world, access to information on capacity-building remains limited and sporadic. The capacity-building portal attempts to redress that issue by serving as an entry point to an authoritative set of data on capacity-building activities. The portal currently contains information provided by United Nations organizations involved in building the capacity of developing countries to mitigate and adapt to climate change. The portal will also contain extensive information and data on capacity-building related projects and activities supported by the Global Environment Facility. Parties, non-governmental organizations and other stakeholders will be able to submit information to the portal in the near future.
