OBJECTIVE

The objective of the cartoon competition is to support advocacy that bring young people to the centre of climate change and human development debates. The competition encourages young people from the Caribbean to portray issues of concern related to climate change in the region from a youth’s perspective.

THE COMPETITION

The call for submissions for the cartoon competition will run from the 27th of August until 15th of October (midnight) 2012 to all nationals from the countries listed under ``Eligibility``. The 10 finalists will be published on the Youth-IN Portal and Facebook page on the 22nd of October 2012. The winners will be published on the 26th of October 2012.

The competition carries awards as follows for winning applicants:
1st award: MacBook Pro: MD318LZ/A - 15.4 inch i7 2.2GHz/500GB HD/SD
Innovation award: MacBook Pro: MD318LZ/A - 15.4 inch i7 2.2GHz/500GB HD/SD

Each applicant will be required to submit on line one original cartoon which will be judged by a panel to determine the winners. The submissions of the 10 finalists will be shown on the Youth-IN portal.
The organizers reserve the right to reproduce and use the original cartoons in any form with due acknowledgement to the artists.
