| Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., the nations oldest black fraternity, and Arbor Day Foundation are launching a partnership to increase the number of diverse environmental leaders on university and college campuses and in communities of color. The Alpha and ADF partnership will educate the fraternitys student and alumni chapters about the environmental, economic and social benefits of trees respective to climate change and sustainability. Sustainability projects designed by students and alumni will help African Americans and other populations become more involved in public health and environmental issues caused by air and water pollution and social inequity. |
