Registration is now open for a free online course entitled “Pathways to climate change adaptation: the case of Small Island Developing States”. The course is jointly run by the University of Geneva and the United Nations Environment Programme, in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme’s National Adaptation Planning Global Support Programme. It provides students with a foundation on key adaptation-related concepts, issues and methodological tools in finding sustainable solutions to challenges faced by small island developing States. The course is taught in English, and runs between 26 January and 28 February 2015 with 3-4 hours of work per week. The interdisciplinary content of the programme is supported by instructors across diverse fields including climatology, ecology, and international policy. No prior knowledge or specific skills are required to participate.
