YPARD-Cameroon is being put in place gradually and systematically this year 2013. Under supervision of Mr. Ntiokam Divine, the country representative and his assistant Mr. Ngouambe Nestor, the Young Professionalsĺ platform for Agricultural Research for Development (YPARD) is being represented in Cameroon at the national level. It is the reason why, the approach of organizing regional consultations in all the 10 regions of Cameroon were undertaken this June 29th 2013. The various regional representatives mobilised and sensitised youth, Government representatives, researchers, farmers and representatives of farming groups, students etc. in their respective regions to reflect on two issues: Are we making most for youth issue in ARD for Cameroon emergence by 2035? And are youths involved within the strategic policy for agriculture and rural development?
These regional consultations were to bring out resolution on which the YPARD-Cameroon at the National level is going base on to come up with strategic plan of action in the forth coming National Forum of YPARD-Cameroon in August 11-12, 2013.
In this like, within a short period of time all the 10 regions were informed of the regional consultations for the 29th of June 2013. A total of Five (05) regions succeeded within their limited time frame to effective seat and discus on the aforementioned issues. These regions are the: Centre, Littoral, West, North-west and the East Regions.
During these sections of consultations that lasted for at least 3 hours the participants were exposed to the YPARD by the Regional representatives; the objective and operation strategies, presentations were made and then they brainstormed through workshops from which resolutions and recommendations were made.
