Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction in the Education Sector is a publication designed to assist governments and education practitioners in scaling up and mainstreaming climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction in the education sector. The manual is comprised of 10 modules that identify key entry points at the policy, planning and advocacy levels while making the case for a process based on country-specific evidence and socio-economic analysis. The ultimate goal is of the manual is to provide young people with the knowledge and skills they need to protect the environment and contribute to sustainable and equitable development. Meeting this goal is a critical step towards ensuring equal access to relevant, quality education for all children, a UNICEF priority in the area of education.
