Information on membership of UNFCCC and Kyoto Protocol bodies

In addition to the permanent subsidiary bodies established by Articles 9 and 10 of the Convention, the COP and the CMP have established, in accordance with Article 7, paragraph 2(i), of the UNFCCC and Article 13, paragraph 2(h), of the Kyoto Protocol, additional bodies to support the implementation of the Convention and the Kyoto Protocol.

Candidates to these bodies are nominated by the respective regional group or constituency, and are elected/appointed by the COP, CMP or subsidiary body in accordance with the relevant decisions.

ADP Bureau arrangements

The COP, at its eighteenth session, endorsed the arrangements for the Bureau of the ADP, recognizing that this is an exception to rule 27, paragraphs 5 and 6, of the draft rules of procedure: (see decision 2/CP.18 para. 2). (278 kB)
