The Partnership supports communities of practice by promoting the connection of practitioners and planners undertaking similar types of adaptation activities. In addition to writing a paper entitled "Communities of Practice," the Partnership is using the regional workshops as an initial platform for identifying such communities and subsequently providing the tools that enhance such support across regions. Examples include exploring ways to replicate good practices from Mali on providing actionable climate information to farmers to other parts of Africa, or developing a handbook on glacial lake management based on Peruvian experiences and then piloting its implementation in the Himalayas. |
