Model of Agricultural Adaptation to Climatic Variation (MAACV)

Computer and numerical models require assessment of system forces and responses to adaptation in order to understand the context for the variables being considered.

This model illustrates the endogenous and exogenous forces that influence adaptation responses and classifies those responses into various farm and regional level responses. The biophysical environment, government programs, economic conditions, and other forces are the exogenous considerations and factors such as the attributes of the farmer, the farm family, and the farm, including their experiences, perceptions, location, scale, and finances, are the endogenous considerations made in this model. Farm responses include tactical and strategic decisions.
