Impacts Database
Description

The impacts database is a web-based database of climate / weather-related impacts as reported in the media. It enables the user to assess the impacts of a particular climatic event thereby enabling them to plan for future events of its kind.

Appropriate Use The tool is useful in assessing what impacts may result from extreme weather events. It is not for use in distinguishing whether a particular weather event was a result of climate change.
Scope The majority of impacts documented in the impacts database are UK-based. However, there are certain instances of impacts outside of the UK.
Key Output

User-specified search results supplied in the form of a summary for each example plus the source of the full document.
