Climate change already causes 400,000 deaths every year, of which the majority are children from developing
countries.* To save lives, an initiative in Zambia is educating children to become young climate ambassadors.
Through this initiative, the children are able to explain climate change in their local communities in their local language and
raise awareness. The Unite4Climate Zambia initiative will train 200 climate ambassadors each year in order to cover the
whole country. This project aims to transform the population of Zambia to become more aware of climate-change.**
