SUS Action pledge

The main purpose of the projects pledged by SUS is to:

  • Improve understanding and awareness of the south-west communities about climate change-related variability, extreme events and their impacts on lives and livelihoods using socio-economic and environmental data;
  • Facilitate coping mechanisms and enhance the adaptive capacity of the vulnerable group participants including community people using local adaptation practices;
  • Establish an information-sharing mechanism on learning, experiences on community based adaptation and advocacy to influence the policy and decision-making process at the local, national and international level.
