CATHALAC Action pledge I
The purpose of this project is to develop regional capacity in the use of satellite-based monitoring and forecasting applications for improved adaptation to climate change, at the level of Mesoamerica and the Caribbean.
SERVIR is a regional visualization and monitoring system that integrates satellite and other geospatial data for improved scientific knowledge and decision making by managers, researchers, students, and the general public. SERVIR addresses the societal benefit areas of the Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS): disasters, ecosystems, biodiversity, weather, water, climate, oceans, health, agriculture and energy.
This pledge contributes to the areas of work: - Methods and tools; - Data and observations; - Climate modelling, scenarios and downscaling; - Climate-related risks and extreme events; - Technologies for adaptation. |
