Action pledge

In its long-term strategic framework 2008-2020, the ADB has refocused its operations into five core specializations, in support of needs expressed by developing country members, to include support on environment and climate change adaptation.  The objective of the programme is to encourage greater investments in ADB developing member country partners to address the causes and consequences of climate change, alongside ADB's own assistance in various related sectors.

This update was provided as a contribution to and is summarised in the Nairobi work programme publication "Action Pledges: Making a difference on the ground. A synthesis of outcomes, good practices, lessons learned, and future challenges and opportunities".

ADB Action Pledge update 

This update brings the latest activities from the ADB on promoting development and dissemination of methodologies and tools for climate change impact and vulnerability assessments.
