| Description
|
CIPE (www.icipe.org), is a 40+ years old pan-African research and development centre with operations to date in 30 countries in sub-Saharan Africa. The Centre’s R&D philosophy is encapsulated in its 4-H paradigm, focusing on human, animal, plant and environmental health with arthropods as the common denominator. icipe’ has always focussed on green and sustainable pest control strategies, with a particular emphasis on biological and integrated control. In addition, the Centre has been engaged in academic and non-academic capacity building and is the hub of a network of 34 African Universities. The strong linkages to the Africa science community are complimented by strong ties to many universities and advanced research organizations in Europe and North America. |
