| Description
|
The Women's Environment and Development Organization (WEDO) is a women's global advocacy organization working to empower women as decision makers to achieve economic and social justice, a healthy and peaceful planet, and human rights for all. WEDO works with a variety of strategies to advance gender equality, which is a key component to sustainable development. Climate change is a major area of focus, and WEDO has been engaged in the UNFCCC negotiations in a sustained manner since 2007. Partners include governments, UN agencies and a wide range of civil society organizations and networks. |
