RECOFTC pledges to provide capacity building services to communities, governments, NGOs and the private sector to support the use of community forestry and agroforestry to strentghen community climate change resilience. RECOFTC will achieve this through public awareness raising, participatory learning groups, the delivery of training courses and materials, technical assistance, policy analysis and recommendations and communications.
Community forestry and agroforestry can provide a diversity of harvestable goods to communities affected by climate events, increase food security, protect soil from erosion, water management benefits and regulate temperatures at a micro-climate level.
