Description

CATIE is a regional organization with a membership of thirteen countries and the state of Acre in Brazil. It aims to contribute to reduction of rural poverty in Latin America and the Caribbean through reserach, education and technical assistance. Its strength lies in its capacity to link research and education directly to implementation of activities on farms, in communities, and landscapes, integrating productive and conservation activities and focussing on the role of ecosystem services in achieving social and environmental resilience.
