AgroMetShell
Description
AgroMetShell is an integrated toolbox of several software packages which helps professionals in
National Agrometeorological Services, agronomic research and food security units etc. to assess the
impact of climatic conditions on crops, to analyze climate risks and to perform regional crop
forecasting using statistical and crop modelling approaches. It allows an integrated analysis of
ground data and low resolution satellite information under a common interface.
Appropriate Use
Applicable to the assessment of current and future climatic impacts on crops, derivation of
management options for the growing season possible.
Scope

All locations; agricultural sector.
Key Output
Crop-specific soil water balance, agronomic/agrometeorological indicators to assess crop conditions,
e.g. crop water consumption (potential evapotranspiration), rainfall probabilities, growing season
characteristics.
Key Input
