and practices in the Asia and Pacific region. The activities are focused on promotion and public
awareness, knowledge and capacity building, pilot and demonstration activities, water partnernships.
regional events and initiatives, program coordination, monitoring and evaluation.

Examples

Under the Water Partnerships category of the Cooperation Fund for the Water Sector Program, Asian
Development Bank (ADB) partnered with the Global Water Partnership Southeast Asia Technical Advisory
Committee (GWP SEATAC) to document and improve innovative local Integraged Water Resources Management
(IWRM) initiatives in the Southeast Asia region. For example, "IWRM: Practical Experiences and
Successful Lessons in Bac Kan Province" documents practical experiences and lessons learned in the
community management of water resources and provides support to local communities in improving
their water management processes and system for better implementation of IWRM in Bac Kan province
(Vietnam).
